Lindenwood Estate takes the form of a compact rectangle. It has a basically symmetrical plan, with all four of its sides finished off in natural Ohio sandstone, with smooth-cut sills and lintels. Its dominant feature is a magnificent portico, rising two stories. This grand front is based on that of the historic Anderson House.
The exterior is otherwise simple, with spacious three-by-six-foot windows and doorways with side lights and transoms. It has a total of fifty windows, all Andersen wood units, five skylights, plus three sliding doors and three other access doors.
